The Steel Man of Capel St. Andrew

This strange individual resides in the village sign of Capel St. Andrew.

Capel St. Andrew is a tiny place and has no houses (as far as I can tell) only a few farms.

There is certainly no church though one existed here back in the early 16th century as evidenced of bones and masonry were unearthed at nearby Church Farm.  

The steel sculpture was erected for the Millennium and depicts St. Andrew.  

St. Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland and also fishermen, hence the steel fish in his hands.
